Hello from France

I would need some feedback from members of this forum cause I want to clean injectors of one of my Bimotas by ultrasound bath as I did for the carburettors of my Supermono before. But I heard here and there that this could not be done for injectors which I doubt...
So I want to be sure by asking you guys Smile

Thanks in advance for your technical advice

It might be better to contact the injector manufacturer and ask what they recommend

On a slightly different note, I bought an ultrasound bath a couple of years ago & not had any success in cleaning anything. Obviously operator error but I am using the correct chemicals for alloy in the bath, the temperature appears to be correct but is there a time limit to leave the items in the bath. I have only ended up with bad results. the bath is made by a reputable manufacturer in Australia but unfortunately they haven't been much help. if I weren't a couple of thousand miles away from them I would drop in and see them

I use water and some stuff http://www.amazon.co.uk/JPL-Ultrasonic-Cleaning-Solution-Cleaners/dp/B00187USI8

Mine's just a jewellery cleaner from Maplins so I only clean the small bits and float bowls in it but they work well enough. It doesn't make it shiney though

Hi Weed, when you turn on your ultrasonic does the surface of the liquid "dance"? How long are you leaving the parts in?

Good morning Spike. I haven't used it of about 18 months but I don't recall the surface dancing, only me in frustration.
I generally left the parts in for 30 minutes & when it didn't work I gave it another 30. I was working on a similar theory to the one that if you are speaking to someone who doesn't speak english then just talk louder & they will understand. Laughing

Yes, your sonic is toast. Or defective. Either way you need a new one.
Sorry about that!

The temp can soften oil and grease like using hot / cold water for washing up

An other way would using ultrasonic cleaner but suspending injector so you can supply voltage so injector in the open position to get full benefit of cleaning, a bit it like throttle valve gumming up cause of egr exhaust gases being re introduced to inlet charge just a thought guys regards bill

My DB5R had sticky injectors when I got it, I ran a few tanks with Techron injector cleaner in the fuel and it cleared up very nicely.
Vrooom Vrooom!!
