I have found something that i thought could help me:

For those like myself trying to source an air filter for Bimotas that take Fiaam FL6380/Fram CA3131/Unipart GfE 1052 or Champion W17.

But when i google these filters they dont seem to be made anymore arggghhhhh.

But why Crying or Very sad

He also says :

Go to www.britishcarparts.uk.com and enter AUSTIN ALLEGRO 1500 & 1750 1974-84. I've been told by the Sales Manager that stocks are good. They sell them for £11 (sterling)+ VAT and postage.

I would rather not have an airfilter for an old car i my bimota. Does anybody have a suggestion?

brgds

This morning Glen gave me the answer Very Happy

Here is what he wrote:

Hi Jakob,

For the YB series all the filters are the same (modular design, or they had so many?).

Fiaam FL6380, Fram CA313 or Unipart GFE 1052 made for an Austin car or the K&N KA80 (now KA-8076) fits with a slight adjustment. But the K&N part YA1906 fits perfectly. As do the filters for mid-80's Moto Guzzis.

For my YB4 and YB11 I have fitted the K&N YA1906.

Best wishes

Glen

hope this can be helpfull for others Very Happy

Big thanks to Glen from denmark

looks like it could be the idle speed adjusting knob. If it has a cable going in the direction of the carbs/injectors.

Hi Ian

Ok thank you I havent tried to adjust it jet Very Happy I just think it is strange that it is on a bike with injection. Maybe its a leftover from when it was with carbs.

sounds like a fast idle adjuster, a lot of early pre-stepper motor injected bikes had them.
eg RSV1000 TL1000 and Bimotas.
