You dont need one......Start the bike....so that the engine is running...but stationary......and then press and hold in the starter button again for some 15 seconds or so...and the red spanner service light will extinguish itself...and you wont see it again for another 6,000miles.....trust me.....the start button is also a lap timer with the Bimota badged Koso RX2 clocks..... |

My Bimota Tesi 3D is not showing the speed. Is there any software to configure the speedometer? (I have already changed the sensor)
Sometimes, very rarely, the speed starts to vary very quickly, then goes back to zero.
the odometer also does not advance. that is, it advances very little, almost zero. _________________ RZ500,Tesi 3D, GPZ750Turbo, Rocket 3R, Yzf250 et, Apriilia RS250, Rd350 air,, Guzzi v11, Ducati 999, k1600, yzr-R1, MV agusta F4, V-max, and more.. |

Theres a small grub screw holds the sensor in place in the rear break caliper bracket....the gap between the back face of the sensor and the 4 no. Ugly steel rear disc bolts is critical. ...too far away and the magnets in the sensor aren't attracted to the disc bolts....too close and it reads the steel disc also....where did you buy your sensor from?..thetes no programme for the clocks. Bimota had them preset by koso to their requirements...you can buy new rx2n clocks from koso that can be programmed...i reckon you have the wrong sender.....take it off....from the bracket.....selswitch on ignition, start engine....and tap very fast on to a steel object to see if the sender is the right one....you should get a reading if its working |

I bought it on ebay, it's the correct one, maybe the original is good too. I'll try changing the gap. By testing it on a piece of metal, how do I know I got a reading? _________________ RZ500,Tesi 3D, GPZ750Turbo, Rocket 3R, Yzf250 et, Apriilia RS250, Rd350 air,, Guzzi v11, Ducati 999, k1600, yzr-R1, MV agusta F4, V-max, and more.. |

because the clock will show a speed...youre just repeating the process remote from the rear brake discs....I presume you havent changed the brake disc bolts for stainless steel ones? WHich dont attract magnets? |

when I asked where did you buy it from...i was looking for who I suppose....if BimotaClassicParts then it should be the right one....what was wrong with the old unit.?? Have you put a piece of steel...not SS near it..?? Does it get attracted by the 2/3 magnets that are inside it? Or repelled if you put a magnet at the end?....its a simple unit...a small spring and a couple of magnets...that get attracted to each of the 4 disc bolts and repelled back by an internal spring which then evidently makes a contact each time...sending a signal to the koso unit...have you noticed the grub screw hidden and recessed inside the rear brake caliper hanger on the edge...operated with a tiny allen key needed? this hold it in place the right distance from the bolt heads |

I think the old unit can be ok too. I will do this test. Thank You. _________________ RZ500,Tesi 3D, GPZ750Turbo, Rocket 3R, Yzf250 et, Apriilia RS250, Rd350 air,, Guzzi v11, Ducati 999, k1600, yzr-R1, MV agusta F4, V-max, and more.. |

I discovered that the negative wire of the sensor (black) is not grounded, I forced a ground wire into the sensor, and it started working. Thanks for the help. _________________ RZ500,Tesi 3D, GPZ750Turbo, Rocket 3R, Yzf250 et, Apriilia RS250, Rd350 air,, Guzzi v11, Ducati 999, k1600, yzr-R1, MV agusta F4, V-max, and more.. |

Yes, but one of them is a bit dented. It hit the screw. _________________ RZ500,Tesi 3D, GPZ750Turbo, Rocket 3R, Yzf250 et, Apriilia RS250, Rd350 air,, Guzzi v11, Ducati 999, k1600, yzr-R1, MV agusta F4, V-max, and more.. |
