In further anticipation of the pending arrival of the "newbie"....the garage was emptied to be bike shuffled around and also for prepping for bike season with shuffle of bikes to be used allocated within for easy access....AND....DB2 is back on the road...my first ever Bimota ridden....after waiting 9 months for a Starter solenoid from Ducati (they dont like to do parts nowadays...just new bikes...)
Pauls Sheepdip yellow also got its final button down and fitment of bodywork....which completely put me off YB9's...What a SON of a BITCH to fit is that one piece fairing.....frig me...and many other swearing words were used by both of use....I think I'll stick to my skinny Duc engine bims as regards one piece Bimota clamshell fairings....The Air was MOST blue in my back garden....
Cheers for the Chinky PaulDB2 and lunch...and putting up with me and my commands/demands and cursing....it was most appreciated...I'll be up at Rivi Barn for 1pm today...Sticker Steves coming also....
Oh....if you think this lineup is impressive...think on....my driveways not long enough as theres 3 other bims not "in shot"....
Paul DB2 came straight from the syanagogue after prayers and sharing of wine and bread...and assisted ably
"Thats all Folks" ...until MIdnight tonight...31st March, 2019.... |

Oi, that is not a jew's Kippah, but a very faded Auto Glym cap, worn only to shade my eyes from the uncommonly bright Manchester sunshine! Proper Bimota cap lost last year
The YB9 tank/seat unit and fairing were a bit(!) of a phaff, but I'm sure with practice we'll get the hang of it, though I suspect 2bims will be carried away, frothing at the mouth, by the men in white coats before that happens
Mucho thanks for the efforts yesterday Steve _________________ Bimota DB1, Bimota YB5, Bimota YB6 Exup, Bimota YB9 SR, Ducati NCR Replica, Moto Guzzi 750 S3, Honda CR750 race replica, Seeley-Suzuki TR500 |

You won’t want to polish this one too often 2bims. Although it would be an easy to shave some decent weight off _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Well....I didn't achieve the 20 Shouts....but "15" including meself should suffice as I've already uploaded the shots prepping for midnight....I was shamed into taxing a proper bike today to pop over to Rivi for my first trip there this year
Spot the Bimota:-
Nah...just kidding...as if I would...I mean...Kwacker yeh...fine...But an in-line 4???
Maybe thats the April 1st "April Fools Joke...."??????????
The bimota Brother and sister are eagerly awaiting their long lost brother/sister from another mother....I've told them not to interact...and no incestual relationships...as its a "pure blood" and virginal also...No-ones broken her in yet....
But eagerly await they do....8.30am the driver is due to drop off

Okey Dokey Eager beavers....all 14 of you that is......You've been patient....so patience should be rewarded.....
Sneaky peeks first opening up to more and bigger:-
Do you get it now??
Did you catch the sneaky clue bottom right of this picture?
And make it clearer?
Want a wider view?
Fancy a few shots of when its been displayed at Harrods in London in 2007 and various Borsalino Shop windows in Milan and up and down Italy???
Just why oh Why did they say "stop" when they came to the sidestand???...Bimota Eh? ...Typical....they always leave at least one thing for the New owner to sort out....
And yes...I've spotted the usual corrosion on the metal black brembo front brake reservoir cap...and this issue is already being addressed as I write this
Hope you enjoyed the Show folks...….See ya all Sometime soon....
That is of course....If this isn't A Big April Fools Wind up....????????

Very nice 2bims! Glad it arrived safe and sound.
Although I don’t recognise the background in any of the shots, so maybe it is an April fools joke .
Post up some pics of the DB3 when you get a chance _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I suppose the only question that remains....Is.....Should I hunt down and try to buy her DB6 Variant Borsalino "perhaps more practical" variant...because I know where she is.....Its only because the DB6 version was "split" from its original owner....the same owner as I bought the DB5 version.....that I was able to buy it in the first place...as he didn't have the pair....and the owner of the DB6 version wouldn't sell it back again....If you cant have both he decided to have neither....
I suppose....It would make a change from my usual "tricolor" penchant.... |

2bims, I suggest you weigh the bike, it could be worth more than you think. Are you sure all that gold is anodising and not the real thing? Most of the Brinks Mat bullion was never recovered........ _________________ Bimota DB1, Bimota YB5, Bimota YB6 Exup, Bimota YB9 SR, Ducati NCR Replica, Moto Guzzi 750 S3, Honda CR750 race replica, Seeley-Suzuki TR500

Hmm, you could be onto something there Brian, Steve will figure out that it is April 1st where he is too, as he waited until Midnight...
I wonder if he got a Yellow or Red DB3...
On a serious note though Steve, if you did find your holy grail bike, Congratulations....
Us skeptical Aussies (we've already been exposed to a few hours of April Fools jokes) will wait for some pics of the bike in your drive with your other bikes though... _________________ Cheers

Well done thats looks fantastic, are you planning on keeping your other DB5?
There looked like a few other Bim's in the pictures you posted there, I assume from the previous owners collection. Were there many other special bimota's in the collection you could share info on?
Once again, congratulations |
