They belly pan won't be a problem
I can make one myself
It's just a matching fairing I'm after
I know there will be a little fiddling with the mounting points but that shouldn't be a big issue either _________________ YB7 (nice one), YB7 (not so nice yet), FZR400SP2TK, Laverda 500SFC, Laverda 500 Formula |

Look in Japan for raceglass. These were an exclusive bike for Japan, and a lot of them were raced in the domestic F3 championship. |

Welcome to the forum Lkey. I'm also in QLD but live in Mackay. Although I'm currently laid up in St Andrews hospital in Brisvegas... I had shoulder surgery today. I love the 400's and currently race a Honda 400 (hence the recently busted shoulder )

Yeah but it's only an nc29 |
That's true... I do camouflage it though so it doesn't really look too much like a NC29 any more _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

There is a guy in Japan that took an original fairing and split it into parts. His name is Yoshiaki. I just spent a while going thro his facebook posts to find the images.
This is Yoshi and he likes ice cream apparently. I couldn't read any of his posts as they are in Japannese.
You can see the split across the fairing.
He's also done a bit of tuning.
Did I mention he appears to like ice creams. I do too.
Here is his YB7 with and without the belly pan.
He's also a bit of a snappy dresser.
The more I go through his posts, the more positive about my assumption that he has a penchant for ice creams (at least I think thats what it is)

Another of his bike with the belly pan removed
He still loves ice creams
This is from when Yoshi cut up his fairing
I think Yoshi got a new sweater for his birthday.
Here is the rest of his photos from splitting his fairing
That's all folks!

It makes it so much easier to remove without stressing the glassfibre (generating surface cracks in the gel coat) when you have to pull the sides out to slide it out from behind the front wheel. _________________ Bimota DB1, Bimota YB5, Bimota YB6 Exup, Bimota YB9 SR, Ducati NCR Replica, Moto Guzzi 750 S3, Honda CR750 race replica, Seeley-Suzuki TR500 |

I do not know or want to know the significance of the end shot with his "2 thumbs up" stance....but it does appear that the girls are signifying that some attribute of his is just some 3-4inches long....(or am I exaggerating??)…
Cheers for the post Lammie...a proper laugh out loud one from you...I think your best yet.....but shame on you....at your age especially you should know better....that "sweater" is actually a "tank top"....and dont profess you didn't know otherwise.....I'm tooting sure you have a fine collection of hand knitted tank tops at home.
Only down side of this post....I too have the same Bimota white leather jacket.... ….and probably dont carry it off as well as this fine fellow does....and thus may now have to restore its place at the far back of the bikers jacket cupboard if i'm even 5% of the way of looking the same as he does in it.....oh me....PaulDb1....Any takers on one slightly used White Bimota leather jacket? Large hump comes free with purchase.... |

I’d love to be racing a YB7 instead of the NC29 Boris, but I’d hate to bang up a Bimota the way I bang up the little Honda. The extra weight that I add in fibreglass patches after every race meet is offset by the amount of aluminium I scrape off the frame and cases _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

It might be expensive, but you may be able to get someone to make a mould off your good fairing and make up some glass ones for you? _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Correct it would be expensive - far too expensive
That's the reason why I'm looking for an off the shelf alternative _________________ YB7 (nice one), YB7 (not so nice yet), FZR400SP2TK, Laverda 500SFC, Laverda 500 Formula |

Sebimoto do a YB9 in raceglass. Not sure how close it would be but they do look quite different _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
