I've just got my SB7 brand new. I need to modify to decrease the weight?
Also I find it too high for my height. I'm 5ft 2inch. I heard somewhere that you could adjust something somewhere to achieve this.
Anyone has any experience?
Thanks in advance.
cheers. _________________ HILMAN SB7 |

Hi
While you can often modify the suspension on a bike to lower it, expect it to upset the handling. You need to lower the front and the back by the same amount to avoid too many problems, but then will probably need harder springs to stop the suspension bottoming out and that might well upset things for a lighter rider the rest of the time.
All the best

Thank you madasfook.
I heard Dani Pedrosa is sightly over only 5 ft and he rides like a wind...what an inspiration. To mount on his REPSOL he had to use a stool. So how?
Maybe getting a 2-inches heel army boot should solve the problem.

Hi
Daytona make a bike boot (mainly aimed at ladies) with a built in but fairly well disguised 2.5cm extra bit of height. Daytona Lady Star GTX.
Depending on the size of your feet / shape of you calf then you might find them suitable. And they seem to do them in normal colours.
All the best

At least then you would have spare change for any other mods you want to do to the bike .
