HDB1 I think its now referenced as....evidently with the B for Bimota...but way way back when they made this such numbering/naming wasnt really considered...
Love the detail in fabricating the frame so that the swingarm pivots directly over the front sprocket shaft...thus chain tension is thus constant regardless of swingarm movement, rear suspension travel...meaning a smoother drivetrain and better and more constant power delivery |

Oh yeah, I forgot the 'B'. HDB1 sounds right.
or as you said Spike, AB1 for Aermacchi
Was this the first all Italian Bimota? |

Certainly would have been.....made in the mid 70's whereas the DB1 came along in the mid-80's......reports are there was only one racing frame made for the Aermacchi.... |
