Hello all.
First time Bimota owner. Just bought a YB8R Evo. Lovely nick but been stood for a few years so needs a bit of love.
Pic to follow, along with questions no doubt.
Cheers.
Jimmy.

Welcome Jimmy. I've got a YB8e. Didn't know they made a YB8R e - is that the one with the reverse gear Laughing

It's a great bike with a lovely motor. Bit tricky to work on and can be a swine to start if left for a while, so you want a really good battery on it, to avoid damage to the sprag clutch.

Plenty of folk on here able to help out with any problems.

Happy Bimotaing.

Cheers folks.
It would seem I have the special R version. I think the R stands for 'read before posting...'
I agree, absolute b*****d to start. New battery though. I'll keep it properly topped up if I'm risking damage to the sprag clutch so thank you for that.
Is it true what they say? you can't just stick with the one?
I'll need to start making some space...

Definitely true , mainly because you can never guarantee on 1 starting so you need to have a spare just in case , oh and a spare, spare as emergency backup and maybe a spare , spare , spare for the time the first 3 will not start . Oh my , is that how it all started Confused

Best play safe and build a bigger garage , you know it make sense Very Happy

Anyway , first challenge of a newbie is to post a picture . Get it wrong twice and EC comes around to take the YB off you Laughing
