I'm sure you can chip in Spike....I think most owners accolades to Bimotas are all based upon the same principles....that drive us toward owning them, with the real beauty in riding them.....throw a few words together and pen them down here....this is what I first wrote about my first Bimota.....

Please keep it to yourself, but I have fallen in love, there are many who will criticise and tut, possibly due to our differences in age, others will stop and stare at the young athletic Italian beauty, and wonder what she is doing at the side of the aging portly Englishman, but I don’t care and I won’t care, absolutely refuse to.

Yes she is only 16 and I am 45 but please you must understand, she has years of experience and worldly travel under her belt for such a young age. She is strong, powerful, and full of charisma and comes from an established family with years of provenance and heritage.
True, she can be “flighty” and occasionally rear her head in indulgence, and yes she needs a firm hand to keep her under control and to get the best from her, but when she is treated in the right way, nurtured, caressed, given the best of everything possible and given a chance to shine then there is nothing that is beyond her and she is free, free from the worries of the world and able to take you to the outer limits of sheer pleasure with pure indulgence.
I find myself unable to sleep at night wondering if she is resting OK and that no one else is trying to steal her away, I find myself creeping around to check she is ok at strange times, just to be sure. Obsession? I hear you ask?, yeh sure, but do I have to justify myself? I mean its love and not just infatuation, this is true love, and I struggle to eat, finding time and any excuse just to be with her for a moment longer, until time and circumstance force me briefly away.

Picture attached, she just loves having her picture taken, others too have asked if they can take her picture, seemingly needing my permission, I stand beside her, and they politely ask me to stand to one side, or I sense the camera zooming in on her and away from me, I know its chalk and cheese, beauty and the beast but, for now, at least, she’s mine and that’s not changing. Sure there will come a time when the age gap of generations becomes too much and as she matures and I become simply older, we may part company, but until that time happens, and within the bounds of modern surgery and medicine I will enjoy my time with her whilst I can, where I can, whenever I can.

Yours, infatuated, but justified

Whenever this comes to fruition, I'd love a copy of the mag. If one of you chaps would be kind enough to send me a copy I'll fix you up cost wise

Well.....Practical Sportsbikes Photographer has been to me today to cover Db1, Db2, Db4 and Vdue.....and is now at Laminators for all Bimotas YB related...discounting 2-stroke stuff and YB11....oh and that FJ1200 engined twin seat model.

And tomorrow the journo and photographer are at BimotaNiges to collect stuff on earlier stuff and doubtless many fine words from Nige also

Brian and Spike - Seeing as both are you are up for Bimota leather key fobs or a Db5R front spindle from Vort....I'll/and vort will peruse the magazine issue when it comes out and get copies for your care package if the article is up to scratch..........

Did find it odd that the journo didnt visit to see the Bimotas either at mine or Andys.....hhmmm......The joy of these bikes is in riding them and looking at them...crawling all over them...sitting on them or just moving around to show lightness etc etc etc...so shall reserve judgement on article until it comes out

I personally, love the magazine. Hopefully this article should be one of the best they have done...... As you say, I would have expected them to be all over your collection.....

Photo man has just left. I told him mine has the correct number of cylinders.....

This is the first time all my Bimotas have been in the same place, they're scattered about a bit normally. I rode the YB8 down for the photos, first time this year I've ridden it.

He also took some photos of the YB7 bits from Nige, and my stock of other bimota parts.

Here's a couple I took after he'd left. I didn't bother pushing them about for a better background.

I pre-warned the photographer that some of your bikes may appear to be the same...but all were different models so he didnt think he was seeing double/treble

Photographer was all over the collection...as I'm sure he would have been at andys....quite hard work moving them all around to get them into the places he wanted....like the industrial look of the background by the way andy....nice contrast...fingers crossed for the article...but there'll be no piccies or words of Db5R or Db6R....'fraid they're just too young for the magazine....... Crying or Very sad

In a Very poor attempt to vaguely Match Laminators line up.....shots of my driveway this morning......could have lined them all up domino style outside the front of the house....but t would be the same as Inflating a large helium Balloon pointing "bike thieves this way".....

Apparently the Bimota Ownership Article is five pages long....

"three owners with an addiction featured. Really enjoyable and practical article!"...as commentated by one person......

Their Facebook page is here......

Looking forward to reading the mag Very Happy .

5 pages sounds like an awesome write up and hopefully plenty of pics. I used to own a GPX750 too, I see there's a story on it too.

Well...as good as their word...Practical Sportsbikes sent me a free copy of their magazine with the "Bimotaheads" feature in it.....and also the photographers pictures...99% of which never make it to the magazine...and seeing as his gear and ability far outweighs mine in the photography section....heres a few for all you lot out there:-
