Don't know if this has happened to anyone else but left the house to go to meeting, running on one cylinder thought I would persevere and hoped it would clear, approximately 28 to 30 miles later no fuel. It didn't clear.

Surprised you could pull away from stationary on one cylinder....have you got any clutch remaining????

Fuel and oil pouring out the dead cylinder, Ann's bike and leathers covered in oil and she never rides that close.Irony was the only guy around with a plug spanner that fitted was on an Enfield 500.
Swapped the plug with an old spare he was carrying in tool kit and ran perfect.

but did the guy you got the plug from get home ?

I find they never clean up its a oil thing Wink

Had you ridden it hard before hand ?
Had an issue over summer were mine did a similar thing, put a new plug in, was all right for a while and then went again. On closer inspection found front cylinder was down again but also balance was out off tick over and throttle cable lose. Prior to it playing up I gave it a big handful and think the throttle cable must have been caught, and me hitting the stops and pulling tight had moved/free'd it. Been all right since.
