Hi,
Need a foot peg (part nr. 300000176) for my SB4 and have really looked everywhere for a spare one since mine is damaged beyond repair.
Has anyone an idea if/where to find one?
I know there have been replica's but couldn't find a trace.
Is there a demand for this part since I want to investigate the possibility to have them reproduced if everything else fails.....
Hope someone knows a bit more about this part ....

Hello Frank....long time no hear...thought we had lost you for a while then..........I presume you checked with Bimota-teille.de and Bimota-parts.de....i looked also and neither seem to be showing any.......If I was you I'd try Piero of Vdue fame.........as well as lots of Vdue spares etc etc...he also has pretty much every other Bimota ever made and probably buckets of spares also......so try emailing him (he speaks a little English...but try emailing in Italian also....)
Contacts:
- Email: info@vdue.it

Hi Bims,
No just some family/health issues, so had no time for the Bimota.
But still working on her as she should be ready in the spring 2015.
Have a full fairing now (SB4-S version) and hope to pick up my restoration in September.
Currently I'm getting all the fasteners either new or replated/yellow pasivated as per original.
Want to get her realy beautifull as in the mid 80-ties. (Like on your prospect).

Are these the same as the YB11? Cast alloy with a rubber plate on the pegs?
I had an off on the YB11 and am looking at a local foundary to recast a couple of parts. No idea on price as yet.
ALso anyone else innterested let me know and will see what a run of them will cost.

Nah....the 80's period Bims were Solid alloy footpegs...and the later 90's Bims like YB11, DB2/3/4, Vdue, etc were alloy with a rubber insert held by 2 bolts....although fitting is very similar.
You can still get "new" footpegs for YB11 series ....available in Germany and on ebay....so whilst you may get some made up it could prove dearer than buying off the shelf.. |
