So glad that you got two of the bikes back quickly, it could have been a lot worse. Hope the DB6 turns up.
It's been a reminder to me and hopefully others to remain diligent about security - although I always alarm the DB4 when in the (alarmed) garage I'd got out of the habit of locking them, even disk locks makes them harder to wheel or carry away. I'll also need to think of some way to secure the garage and bike keys when they're in the house, as once they fall into the wrong hands it's almost game over. Any suggestions?

Martin

Bikes returned well never actually left other than to be wheeled into the next road were they tried to start them. Then on the back of a police truck once they were 'recovered' and finger printed.

Looks a bit sad after all the finger print dust !!! And cost me £170 each to get back !!!!

I thought mine were secure, OK , not locked but I live in a nice area, were very few can see my bikes coming or going and can not see them if the garage door happens to be open. I have a dual skin insulated section door which is the best you can get, but if the little sh*ts have the remote key fob from the house there is not a lot you can do about it.
Now I have locks everywhere and every bike is chained to at least 2 others with 2 different chains. Takes 15 minutes just to get a bike out and thats if it is at the front . Tis a sad world we live in.
I did have a key cupboard in the garage but that was a bad move, now I need to wonder all over the house to find a key just to start a bike !

Sad thing is it was a nice bike that will end up in bits or burn't out.

After a quick wash and with the sunshine beaming down I thought the vdue deserved a treat for its ordeal so a few hundred miles around Wales was in order.

I hope the V Due treated you well vort, it should be very happy to be still in the hands of a loving owner rather than in the claws of those grubs.

Some nice countryside to be riding through over there i recon.

Vdue did develop a slight 4-5k stutter so I thought it best to keep it above 6.5-7k Shocked , well that is my excuse and I am sticking to it Laughing , although I can report the 9k rough running has cleared now Laughing .

Think when they were trying to start it they ran the carbs dry and it must have sucked a bit of crap into one of the jets as the low running is a bit rough so I think a bit of garage time 'bonding' may be in order.
