|
|
Had to transport the bike in the van the other day (long story) and made a pigs mickey of strapping it down resulting in it falling and breaking the screen in three pieces.... not a mark otherwise !
My bike is a YB9 SRI.
Now the questions are....
Does anybody have a screen they want to sell?
Is the screen for a YB9 SRI and a YB9 the same?
Does the screen from any other model fit?
Does anybody make one off screens?
Can I be trusted to be let out on a bike anymore?
Advise please. |

DOH - but I guess we've all done it.
Try Skidmarx for a new screen. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Sorry to hear about the mishap
The yb9sr and yb9sri look to have the same screen but the yb9 bellaria is different. Not sure if any other model would fit? _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Yup...SkidMarx are listing them for a fair few Bimotas...including YB9....best to give them a phonecall first though to see if they actually have any.....or time to knock one up from a mould....Had a bit of a delay from them once when I clicked and paid...and waited and waited...came through but took time.....Also due to the "one off" manufacture of Bimotas...their screens I've had from them dont come pre-drilled for fitting...but thats not such an issue...but nice to know before you buy.....

Theres Also MRA windscreens in Germany....but I cant get their ruddy shop web page to load....usually they use Dealers/bike shops to trade...HPS being the UK one

I've been down that route with Skidmarx before looking for a DB4 screen....best they could do was I post mine to them...they see if anything similar...and I'd pay for postage back if they couldnt do anything......Hence I bought a MRA double bubble screen instead...........rather than risk double postage, possible loss/damage and yet still no screen......... |

There are a few going from here that I know of, me , 2bims, GK, Nige, JRH, we will have to arrange something whilst we are over there. Most of us will be on Bimota's but think JRH may be letting the side down |

I got my db4 screen from these German guys and they're great quality. Optical (looking through the screen) perfect, perfect fit and better air flow than the original. Very sturdy, survived one crash, but unfortunately not the latest highsider (scratches....) So I the new one just came in the mail.
