- Bimota showed the bike on November
- Bimota and alstare got to an Agreement on January
- The season starts on Febraury
- For start the season you must produce several bikes or you must show you have the piece for built them
for me it was clear it will impossible to start the season on Febraury, the start I think not before summer.
Alstare need time to built the bike for race, they will be test, and after they neeed to pass the homologation.
All of this need time. _________________ http://bcomebimota.blogspot.it/ |

Might not be in World Superbikes, but seems might still be racing.
Bimota Alstare would like to announce that they are to create a new team - the Bimota Alstare Junior Team. Eighteen year old Christophe Ponsson will ride the Bimota BB3 in a prestigious national championship in 2014. |

125 by the end of the year? and 1,000 by the end of 2015? Suppose anyone can make a "promise" and then beset with financial problems...but by then they;ve had a year at racing ...so good on them...wish them the best of look...Rules are there to be broken... |

Must cost a pretty penny to run a race bike in a world championship. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

SUPERBIKE World Cup
Scandal: Bimota allowed to drive without homologation
From Ivo Schützbach - 26.02.2014-09:35
Small-scale manufacturers Bimota will be at the European launch of the World Superbike Championship in mid-April in Aragón there. Promoter Dorna and the FIM make an exception for the BB3 .
This also smaller manufacturers can participate in the Superbike World Championship , were for this year and beyond changed the Homologationsregeln . Instead of the previous 2000 motorcycles within two years , must in future only be built in 1000 . In order to obtain approval for the races , a manufacturer must present 125 roadworthy motorcycle in the initial acceptance by the World Motorcycle Federation FIM Superbike World Championship marketers Dorna . Recent Activites at Erik Buell Racing the end of January 2014 , the EWC 1190RX .
Not so Bimota . How now transpired , the Italian small producers at the European launch of the World Superbike Championship at Motorland Aragón may 13 April 2014 ride , although by then the prescribed 125 Bimota BB3 will be produced not in the approach.
This is due to an exception rule . Because Dorna and FIM absolutely want to have a ninth manufacturer and with Alstare also one of the most prestigious teams in World Superbike , Bimota gets from the date of Homologationsbeantragung a period of four months to produce the 125 motorcycles. Until the completion of the two drivers Ayrton Badovini and Christian Iddon start out of competition and received no championship points . As a driver on the track they will intervene in the course of the championship anyway, the opposing teams fear distortion of competition. Alstare Bimota does not follow the guidelines , they fly to the four months from the championship.
Last Saturday at 13.30 clock said Dorna Superbike Manager Javier Alonso at a meeting at Phillip Iceland to SPEEDWEEK.com : "The new Homologationsregeln make it smaller manufacturers easier. We will strictly adhere to the regulations. Bimota is allowed to drive only if they build the prescribed amount of bikes. "
Five hours later, Alonso met with representatives of the Manufacturers Association MSMA ( Motorcycle Sports Manufacturers Association ) to discuss the future technical direction of the championship. In said meeting, the Spaniard also informed that different standards apply to Bimota than for any other . The manufacturers are not amused by the press and so fans were sold for stupid. |
