Right".....I'll get this... then stop all the fannying about...leave everything standard and just admire it....the DB9, that is.
But like a dog scratching a scab...I can't leave it alone
So..here's the plan....sort out the rear number plate thingy..move it ....re-fabricate it in alloy.....and have a look at the exhaust....Euro 3 emissions!
Both of these by the way were dealt with by BIMOTA when they showed the thing at first bike show in Italy......search out old photos and both are different and better looking than those, which finally went into production. the exhaust was a thing of beauty, with a tapered end can and exquisite welding.
In the past I used Pete Gibson of Gibson Exhausts in Romford.....he made exhausts for me on other 4 valve duke specials..but he has hung up his leather apron and is sunning himself in the land of Oz, last I heard.
So...is down to Zard and Arrow or are there other chosen suppliers out there?
I now throw this question over to the wise owls who like to "Tinker" hiding in the rafters of the forum.
Please ....".no leave it as it is". You muppet......comments..
I'm past that stage.......unfortunately!

We're not precious about bikes, this isn't a ducati forum.
Zard cans are prettier than arrow and usually suit V2's, but really it's your call.
Carbon wheels.

I prefer Zard over Arrow (looks)... I don't mind number plate holder... It is quite in mood of whole bike, so it suits...

Congrats for purchase!!!

Many thanks for the comments.

Nothing wrong with the Ducati owners, per say.. but my 888 and 999 engines into Cagiva elefant frames caused minor murmurs ....still
..as my old granny used to say..."Gavin..you walk to the beat of a different drum!"..as she plat my hair into pigtails and straightened my dress.

The exhaust for the DB9 in question is
http://fxpowersports.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Handmade-Exhaust.jpg

Available from Bimota Australia any idea where who handles the Bimota performance parts in the UK.

B&C Express (Arrow UK) importers could not help..can you?
regards

Well if its made by Arrow and available for "Bimota Dealers" then you'd best search in Germany..strangely...as thats about the best place for Bimota Dealers getting parts etc...Strange that Arrow wont deal with you.....Zard are a decent company and even though they have a licensed UK dealer...they will deal direct from Italy also...

I'd try Armin of DRT Schneider in Germany...he can usually get whatever you may need for Bimotas, new or old..and is a Bimota dealer for new bikes also...doesnt speak English so use Google to email and translate to german...sending him a link of that pipe...

That might be the limited edition pipe that was made available little while ago. Seems to do the trick as member here from Tazzie has fitted one and can give you some feedback on how it performs. Very expensive from what I recall. Try contacting Superbike Mugello (cab be found on FB) in Italy and see if they have any thing, they race a lot of Bimota in Italy and have close links with the factory.

Yes....I agree, it is very trick.
When I first saw the bike at the EIMC thingy..it was wearing this and a completely different number plate assembly.
So...thats what I want....or at least try to achieve.
Barrus gave me a factory contact ......so I will contact them as a point of reference before contacting, Germany

Also...I heard that DMC once they sold mine were contacted by the other UK DB9 owner to sell his.
Just like buses...you wait for ages then TWO turn up at once

Well......surprise, surprise...the nice lady at BIMOTA says YES!
Maria-Elena has spoken and indicated that the hyperpower Arrow-Bimota special part DB9 exhaust can be obtained.
Special order (8 weeks) and titanium...no worries other than the price.
Part of my deal will involve taking the bike to Rimini to have the ECU upgraded and the exhaust fitted then ride home.
Also I have to take all documents, promise never to talk to the EU emissions control team and freewheel by the noise test booth in Switzerland!

It looks like everything is coming together!

regards
