You would think with a world recession looming, there would be loads for sale as most people will not be able to afford the fuel |

Just found out about another one in Germany, only 2h30 from my place, I can even go pick it up for you if you like
First registered in April 2003, only 4300km (+/- 2700 miles) on the clocks for €10800 (a bit over £8500).
The low mileage makes it less interesting for me because bikes with less than 6000km are regarded as "new" in Belgium (no matter their age) and require an additional 21% taxation.
Apparently the bike was kept in the house or something _________________ Currently on a TL1000R, saving for an SB8Rs.

That's the only way to keep a Bimota. Move the missus and kid's into the garage to make room |

It's in Ochtrup, Germany, close to Enschede in Holland. _________________ Currently on a TL1000R, saving for an SB8Rs.

I take it that is VAT (sales tax). Thought it was meant to be an EU standard that below a certain age / mileage it was regarded as new and you paid it in your home country, but also claimed it back from the country it was originally paid in.
All the best

Something like that. If the vehicle is less than 6 months old (first registration) OR has less than 6000km I pay VAT in Belgium.
However as the seller is a private person there is no VAT included in his price but I'll have to pay it in Belgium anyways.
And here it's 21% which is quite a bit higher than in most surrounding countries. _________________ Currently on a TL1000R, saving for an SB8Rs.

He claims 168 HP for the SB8R, I thought was more around 135.
You'll need a lot of motor work to get close to 170 HP out of a TL engine... _________________ Currently on a TL1000R, saving for an SB8Rs.
