back from a truly memorable long weekend in Germany in the company of so many wonderful people. Top of the list - Ian and Brigitte - the hosts with the mosts. Not many pics as I spent too much time riding, eating and drinking. Ian very kindly gave me this to play with on the Saturday
what a bummer!
Will poach some pics from Ian when he gets around to posting them, or just check out his website

Big thanks to Andrew (ARbimota) for his company on the journey down and back and throughout the entire weekend.
We are already planning next years visit - you should too - you won't be disappointed! _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

journeys end (for me - Andrew had a further 100 miles to go!)
The bikes at rest at Ferrybridge services - 20:30pm Monday 20th August, having left Frankfurt at 09:30 that morning.
another 1500 trouble-free miles slip beneath the wheels of the most used Bimota on the forum. _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

glad you enjoyed it Garry.
I was pretty overwhelmed by the turn out too.
pics and stuff in a couple of days-
here's a couple of tasters:
Bimota total in the yard on Saturday:
3 x DB2
1 x DB3
1 x DB7
2 x SB8R
1 x Dieci
1 x Supermono
1 x SB6
1 x YB4
1 x Furano
I'm not sure if I approve of this sort of intimacy??
Howard and Paul were here again last night- Klaus and Ian came over again for a BBQ.
and I've just got back from a gentle 4 hour trip to the Rhein and back on the DB2 to see H and P off back home.
and I'm going out again in a couple of hours. . .
I was looking foward to a quiet week on my own ! _________________ Bimota DB2 tricolore, Bimota YB4e.i, Ducati 851 tricolore, Ducati Hailwood Replica, 1968 Gitan Grillo sport, Yamaha GTS1000, Honda Deauville, Honda GB500 Clubman

Good to hear and see it all went well, pencil me in for next year, well mark it in indelible ink as I'm making my New Years Resolutions early this year.
Glad to see that GeeKay has found a new love in his life, when we went out with my DB2 and Db4 I found him caressing the Db2's bodywork and I had a deep sense that I should look away and leave him to himself for a few moments....Oh Er Mrs.....
More piccies please |

good one Steve
I'm looking foward to it already, just got to sort out all the remains of the weekend- 100s of pics, videos, cleaning up, wondering where I left my wife, finish off her YB4 etc. _________________ Bimota DB2 tricolore, Bimota YB4e.i, Ducati 851 tricolore, Ducati Hailwood Replica, 1968 Gitan Grillo sport, Yamaha GTS1000, Honda Deauville, Honda GB500 Clubman

I'm thinking about taking part next year- air cooled twin: Hailwood, pre 85 50cc class: Gitan. If they'll have me of course. _________________ Bimota DB2 tricolore, Bimota YB4e.i, Ducati 851 tricolore, Ducati Hailwood Replica, 1968 Gitan Grillo sport, Yamaha GTS1000, Honda Deauville, Honda GB500 Clubman

Don't worry Pomps, have you ever heard of "Barnes Syndrome"?
Its defined as a propensity to accumulate trinkets and toys in the hope of one day having the time to use them
Apparently its in the masculine gender only, one day, one day, and without work there would be no toys for that one day. |
