I've just received the frame protectors….. they look great.
Excellent job
Thanks to morepower and oily.
With a bit of luck I have the carb parts at the end of the week. So I can install the parts and the frame protectors and make finally some kilometres.

Thanks Vince... So glad you like them.. |

Apologies for being lazy and not reading the whole thread but.......
Where the frame protectors made to order or do you have any more available?
Mine has short frame covers and the carbon has gone that horrible brown colour
Front and rear guards have too. Was going to flat the lacquer coat off and get them re painted with clear acrilic lacquer. Or is there an easier way to 'spruce them up?' _________________ So many bends, not enough free time (or decent weather) |

I would contact Oily..... But you will find if they are made like the pattern Oily gave me, it could be pre-preg and will not have any real resin on the surface so you would be rubbing into the carbon almost instantly.. Pre-preg is good for most things apart from purely cosmetic purposes..
I am making Oily a couple more sets as he has had more orders so adding another set would be easy.. I have the moulds to make as many as he wants and when he wants... |

The Bimota carbon on the front and rear mudgaurds will have a greenish look and be fairly dull. I cleaned some of mine up using 2000 grit and then went over it with a buffing mop (on a drill, slow setting) and brown polish. It doesn't make a lot of difference to be honest.
Don't laquer them they're like it from the factory. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

I do have your moulds.... so you can have as many as you tell me to make... They are only limited to the number you want to produce. When you say stop.... then they become collectors items...
So knowing Oily.... get as many as you can fast.... I feel the moulds being retired soon.... haha... Watch the value of them go through the roof soon..... |
