didn't sell according to Bonhams site.
I would need Steve's DB2 for the full set and he won't re-paint it in it's original MCN prize scheme. _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

It's a lot of dosh for a 7 that needs comissioning
.... and .... the engine number ??? R720 is a Suzuki number, it's
R = 750cc
7 = 4 stroke
20 = 20th incarnation of that type
Is this a Suzuki SP number or a Suzuki supplied to Bimota number - the SB6 is U712, the 12 is a Bimota number. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

The 12 is actually a Suzuki number denoting..... supply to Bimota
Why would they give a specific number for Bimota engines unless they were "special". Did we ever decide? _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

No....
we decided the cams are Suzuki and watch out for the 100bhp, low lift cams
I think EC had low lift cams in his engines original incarnation.
EC.....do I recall you using 750 cams in your big bore?
I know my big bore is on standard Suzuki cams and I've no issues with that _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Yup - the cam's I had were French market they got changed to 750 cams in my engine's last build.
I had a pair of Kent Cams in there before - the inlet cam is still ok but the exhaust picked up on the broken valve.
I was only curious about the engine number because the ad said the bike was converted back for road use and the injection was swaped for carbs, they look like CVs on there. I wondered if they'd kept the original engine _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Not only did this paint scheme dreamt up by david give you sore eyes we had a customer who also requested a road version with virtually the same parts as the race bike..... Now looking at them both really did hurt the senses! |

I confess its growing on me It looks so dated but cool at the same time. Kind of Jimmy Hendrix on wheels... move over rover let jimmy take over.
I vote Geekay keeps the same scheme for C3PO! _________________ Pomps
