I've send a lot of questions and hopefully the translate function from dutch to german makes sense.
I have asked for more detailed pictures and a complete history of service and or respray issues.
I"ll keep you guys posted _________________ Ducati 750 SS café racer, BMW R nine T Cafe Racer, Husqvarna Vitpilen, KTM Rc8, Husqvarna Vitpilen 701, Bimota DB6 |

New sb6 owner! Bb1 is for sale now ( no room for two bikes ).
I will pick the bike up in germany on the end of this month ( first to the dutch TT with the bb1 if i did not sell it before this event). _________________ Ducati 750 SS café racer, BMW R nine T Cafe Racer, Husqvarna Vitpilen, KTM Rc8, Husqvarna Vitpilen 701, Bimota DB6 |

Fantastic, tell us all about it and what the answers to our questions were, and pictures he sent etc. Good man, courage of convictions is often hard to find. _________________ Pomps

It was very hard ( and is) to communicate because my german is not very good and google translate sucks.
Anyway he claims to be the 3rd owner, bike is indeed resprayed with silver instead of white.
Frame is also sprayed ( this explains the missing bolts from the seat unit on to the frame).
The bike doesn't have any MOT since last year ( i don't care because i just have to get it trough the import station without problems).
Further it runs good and smooth but that is something i have to find out.
Anyway if it turns out to be a lemon after all ( so this means it is NOTmas described in the auction).
I still have the right to walk away from it so i hope it is an honnest seller if not
I have to go back to holland without a sb6 _________________ Ducati 750 SS café racer, BMW R nine T Cafe Racer, Husqvarna Vitpilen, KTM Rc8, Husqvarna Vitpilen 701, Bimota DB6 |

Good Luck Carbon!
A close look at the last two piccies suggests that the fixing bolts for the seat unit are there, but the side uprights of the seat unit moulding look like they have been resprayed with the top edge of the silver at an angle to the seat, which might be what's making it look a bit strange. Anyway, a bold impulse buy deserves support!
Cheers, MikeJ |

I use "Bing" translater now instead of google, its free, and it manages a lot better certainly from and to english than Google ever does, sentences seem to make sense. Google has problems with words if there is a fullstop or comma directly after them and won't translate, so you have to space words away from such things. Bing however doesn't mind them and still translates. |

I'd better listen to pompey his feeling about the bike. Anyway i will try to discribe what was wrong with it. First of all the bike didn't start ok, a quick inspection of the bodywork made it clear that there where some cracks in the
Seat unit which where covered by ' duck tape' off course this was not mentioned in the auctIon. Frame looked a bit damaged on the places where the steer could hit the frame ( so it looked to me that the bike was fallen of is side stand or worse) anyway i took the bike for a ride.. At least that was what i wanted. Maximum speed i reached was 35 km/h and the gear box felt like shit... Tested the clutch but the bike did not have any kind of performance and was just not reliable. My feeling was just very very bad.
When i went back i went into a 3 hour traffic jam. Perfect start of my holliday period 😄oh yeah the seller told me that the bike just needed a cleaning of the carbs... What a complete w###er.
Sorry about my expresion.
Next try will be a black sb6r on the other side of germany.
I will keep u guys updated ( off cOurse).

Sorry to hear that Johan. Could have been worse, imagine if you had paid and he delivered it! Well done for making the trip and walking away from it. _________________ Pomps
