| hi guys, just come across your site while trawling for spare parts.heres a story that will make you laugh on a day like this.i have owned a sb6r for about 9 years now and with work commitments idont often get out as much as iwould like to,so that sunny day we had last week i thougt thats it i'm off for the day on my bike, dragged it screaming from the back of the garage and yes it had a flat battery. in my haste to get out i grabbed my jump leads and connected them up, then there was a bang & a flash yep you guessed it put the leads on the wrong terminals, blown clocks, alternator, alarm & some expensive electrics on my car. anyone got a alt/clocks for sale. |

Hi there
Welcome to the forum
Shame about the car - but onto the things that matter
The 6R clocks have a couple of weaknesses so they get replaced with after market ones anyway. You can fit a Koso dash which are good for the money and they are fitted to the later Bimota DB5, 6 ,7. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Welcome to the forum, shame about the circumstances though . The alternator on the sb6 is the same unit as used on the rf900 and I would imagine the 6r is no different. Either way, its a drop the engine out to remove it and then off to a breakers to get a replacement. _________________ Pomps

Well thats 1 big plus point for the 6r! good int. Its worth stripping th eold one for the rubber bush's etc if the electric bit is fried. Thats the next week spot for them after suicidal sabotage! Sounds like you are on a mission... _________________ Pomps
