A couple of 6Rs were raced at Macau back in the day - don’t know if they were prepared by Mistral, but it was claimed they were knocking out 186bhp. 1200 big bore and flat slides are giving me 157, on a dyno that rates a standard one at 125bhp. If the tuner, who did the work for a former owner, had put the cams in he’d billed for and done some head work, it would be even stronger. So 186 doesn’t sound an impossible stretch. But the thing that really makes the difference with 6Rs is getting the weight down with lighter wheels and a light weight system - without the diet, even the standard power output is a bit of a handful! _________________ What, Jonny's gone! |
