Hi all !
First of all, I happy Christmas !
I'm taking advantage of the Christmas holidays to do some work on my DB3.
I'm looking for a reference for the rear crown.
After ordering one from a DUCATI 900 monster, it doesn't fit.
I have ANTERA rims. The crown carrier has an 80cm centre diameter and entrax bolt hole is 10cm.
I am looking for a 41 tooth crown.
If you have any ideas... |

What do you mean by crown? Cush drive assembly or rear sprocket? |

Hi bidalot,
Why do you need to change the rear sprocket ? Is it worn ? |

I all !
I finally found the rear sprocket. In Spain.
MJ CORSE manufactures all sprockets you want. On demand.
For the Mantra part number is 374.520
Your can choose the number of teeth.
I simulated the right combo on Gearing Commander (front and rear sprocket). I have a 15 teeth front sprocket.
So I purchase :
- one with 40 teeth recommended for 900ss (44,07 €)
- and one with 42 teeth recommended for 900 montro (46,60 €).
Very frair price.
Beautiful product and fast delivery (10 days).
For the drive chain : D.I.D gold 520ERV7
Now I'm looking for the adjustment procedure. I loose the tag on the swing-arm.
If someone could help me ?
I think I have to adjust chain the bike on the right stand but after.... |

Reading the owner's manual carefully, I finally understood that the top strand of the chain had to be aligned with the label on the swingarm.
This is not common. |

Adjust the chain....or at least check the slackness of the chain when you are "sat" on the bike....with your feet on the pegs....as this is how it is with bimotas.....you will find it will tighten when sat on the bike....make sure the upward line of the chain can move around 1 inch....2-3cms where it comes across the chain slider on the upper run of the swingarm.... |
