Should have put this in Bimota Chat but anyway.........
Well its all in the eye of the beholder but certainly the Kinetic Art paint shop produced some real eye poppers in their heyday, blurring the lines of custom show paint and rece reps, many being sold in the Galeria Bimota days.
2Bims has previously posted up pictures of his DB2 in its original 'Kinetic Art' paint scheme
Certainly 'eye catching' even if the painter couldn't decide if RHS or LHS paint scheme suited it best!
Recently I've been in contact with Tom Fuller, the M-D at Image Design Custom Ltd (Camberley, Surrey). It turns out he cut his teeth at Kinetic Art and has kindly dug out some old photos (pre digital of course!) of some other Bimota bikes that passed through the workshop which he is glad to share on the forum.
Enjoy!

Theres a few Xmas crackers in there also.....I can only imagine that all have been repainted now as theres not one colour scheme on there I've ever seen before....other than my own DB2 which has been repainted since by "sprayway".....I think the italian tricolor YB11 is a successful scheme....I saw it as a SB6 at first glance...the scheme seems to take a lot of the "fatness" out of the YB11 bulbous design....
Was he the painter himself ralphy?.....or a designer but not painter?.. |

I believe the painter. He now runs this company. I've seen the company doing work for Henry Cole his Motorcycle Show programme. All looks very pro , will be interesting to see how his prices stack up against quotes I already have. _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |
