The seat is secured by two 6mm bolts. The one in the rear is easy. The one in the front is a royal pain in the ass because it is at a wonky angle and the shock and exhaust make getting a tool to the bolt let along turning it difficult.

There IS a better way. I cut the head off of the bolt. After cleaning up the threads at the cut, I put some LocTite the last two threads and screwed it into the seat about three or four turns. Then I took a Dremel tool and expanded the bolt hole in the sub-frame into a slot about 20mm in length toward the rear of the bike. Now, you can slip the stud in through the slot, install and tighten the rear bolt (through the cable restraint), put the cable restraint on the stud and install a nut. To make my life even easier, I used an M6 coupling nut that I can install by hand and THEN put a wrench on for the final snug.

It is a lot easier using an open end wrench to snug a coupling nut that is already screwed into place than it is to get an hex key into a bolt that you are trying to screw into a hole at an odd angle, fighting the shock and the exhaust pipe while not being able to see what you are doing.

These are coupling nuts.
