I needed a new battery for my Triumph Explorer (I know!) and found many outlets listed them as 'no stock/not currently available'

Was told by one supplier (who I had ordered from) that there has been disruption to Japan supplies (containers in wrong place? concerns about paperwork? ....who knows???) and who have advised me just now that "We have had a update today from Yuasa and they are saying they are not due in UK until April but they cannot give us a definitive date"

Just in case someone is thinking of a Yuasa it may be prudent to buy while there is still stock available as it will only get worse as bikes come out of hibernation to play!!

PS I cancelled my order on the 1st supplier and found that my local Halfords (45 min away!) had one in stock.

Yes currently massive issues with goods from Japan / China / etc due to lots of containers currently disparaged in USA & Europe caused by the massive amount of orders shipped during the pandemic.....

This has now resulted in container costs jumping from $1500-2000 ish per 40' container to between $10K & $20K.......
Both supplies and prices are under massive strain at the moment
