I have owned the bike since the Mid 1990's it is UK registered as a 1976 Kawasaki Z1000 with Bimota Frame Number [525] I have no history with the bike perhaps someone on the Forum might recognise Frame Number or possibly of previously owned it ,I believe it was sold as a Rolling Frame Kit in the UK in 1980 by Dixons.
The bike when I bought it was in the same original spec as when sold new.I carried out a lot of restoration work some years ago, involving replacing wiseco 1045 kit with 903 cc barrel's pistons, all paint work, bearings, brakes, tyres ,electrics, campag's refurbing etc etc. to bring it back to not concours, but a very nice state of restoration. Since then it has been stored in Vac-Bag conditions.
I have recently taken it out of storage, replaced fluids and ran it up,it will however need some minor fettling as well as an MOT before road worthy.
I am looking for £15k for it, I do have some very nice photos of it,but unfortunately my computer skills are very basic.,If there is any interest in the bike if you message me I will email them on,of if anyone can explain in simple terms how to upload them on Forum I will try and post them. Thank's Tom. |

I have to say...this is a lot nicer than you've talked it up as....and with an added none standard oil cooler...I have seen these bikes cook themselves so thats a good idea |

Yes, very nice. I'd love it but i'm sure the seller will want cash for it as oppose to a part exchange against a selection of very nice classic bikes or random body parts. I promised Mrs S that there would be no more bikes in 2021 unless i sold some first. |

Hi, Steve Hardy sent me your details. NICE BIKE!!!!
I have just sent you an email to the mail Steve gave me. I live near St Albans and have been looking for a KB1A.
I am just an Italian bike nut, not a dealer, and I have cash. Please can you look in your email, and then we can talk. Thanks. _________________ Richard |

Now there’s a ‘bold’ statement! Difficult to come back from that one without getting yourself into trouble. Best you just go into hibernation and forget about 2021 all together, then make up for it in 2022 _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
