The clip-ons turned out really well. Look spot on. Didn't know it could be done at home. Is it much of a hassle?

No hassle at all. You can buy a powder coating kit, all you need is a compressor ( small one ) follow the instructions to the letter, max 50psi through the gun. You can buy every colour going. Pinch the wife’s oven or in my case pick one up for £20 off evil bay or market place.
I’ll find the manufacturer for you and post it on here, UK company cost about £125.00 when I bought mine quite a while ago though.
Keep the powder as dry as possible, so keep it in a warm room, best to use an old cupboard to spray in, keeps the mess to a minimum and you get to re claim any spilt powder.

Just checked it out £149 for the starter kit, you don’t need the fancy aluminium box. Worth every penny in my humble opinion.

Thanks. That is definitely going on my Santa wish list, the one where I am the only subscriber!
Did you do the header pipes as well?

I did the header pipes in high temperature spray paint, I used the stuff they use for log burners, cheaper and stands much higher temps.
Have you ever opened up a tachometer, my face is cracked and I want to replace it. Thought maybe a dremel cutter on the underside of the clock which would be covered by the rubber. New plastic or glass face and then super glue back on , what do think

Not sure about the best way to open and repair it, I am a hammer and chisel kind of guy and should not be let loose on anything delicate.....
Came across these guys who might have a new Tach. No idea if or how much but might be worth checking.... FB page is Bimota Galleria and they have some clocks for sale here
