Hi all, I’ve been a club member for a few years and I’ve enjoyed looking at the various posts but never got round to putting anything on myself.
I have a Vdue 500EF which I bought new in November 2015 from Signature Moto in Norwich. At the time I bought it I was told it was the last new one that Piero had, it’s frame number 417 with engine ending 559.

I’ve done about 900 miles on it now and I’ve really enjoyed it, I live in Glasgow and had a few good weekend runs up north with an Italian bike group I’m in.

Lockdown has allowed me to get a few of my bikes sorted out so I need a new battery for the Vdue as - usual problem - it’s now a dud with it sitting.

Can anyone recommend somewhere who knows a bit about the Vdue’s and could set up the carbs etc.

Might be interested in selling it later in the year as I’m moving house next year and need to reduce numbers, want to do a few more miles on it first though!

Anyone else around in Glasgow/Scotland??

Cheers, Colin

Congrats on your first post Colin (after 5 years) and welcome to the forum. There’s quite a few Vdue owners on here so surely someone will be along shortly to help.

Hi Colin - Not Glasgow, but over in West Lothian. I haven't got a V-due, but would love one, one day.

Mike

Hi Mike
Thanks for your reply, been working recently in Livingston so no probs.
I’m thinking you’ve got a triple 8, snap ! although mines part way through a restoration.
I’ll put a few pics on of The Bimota, o has it at the Ingliston show a couple of years ago. I’m struggling to get them to upload just now, I’ll persevere ! Cheers

Lovely pics Colin, - The office I'm normally based at is in Livingston, though, I've been WFH for the last few months, and likely to be doing so for quite some time.

We should get together, I'd love to hear that V-due run. Here's a couple of pics of mine..

You can post the direct link for each photo and the photo’s will appear..... It’s a bit of mucking about to be honest.

I'll see if I can entice a certain someone to post up the carb changes that transform the Vdue....new jet sizes...needle height etc....which can be achieved for around £50 or less in parts sourced from EuroCarbs in the UK.....Takes away all the hunting issues....and no clutch slipping to pull away....bike then pulls from 1200 revs from stationary....no need to rev it to 4 thou and slip the clutch...no more stalling or issues on hill starts....theyre set up for racing as stock whereby you only need to start from stationary once.....so not the best street set up
