Very nice original bike. And there are heaps of great detailed photos. Perfect for anyone needing details for a resto.
Interesting new Bimota price list from '91. A Tesi cost around the same as a Furano, even less for last years model.

There’s a lifetime of pleasure to be had out of this - if only in drilling out all the bolts that have seized from zero maintenance for 20 years - “regularly ridden on private roads, but not so much as to require a change of tyres” - my a***😂
Hope somebody re-commissions it, but they will want to make sure the exup valve is working and that the carbs are sorted - notorious for running too rich low down and too lean further up. Fairing doesn’t let it breathe properly - ideally swapped for an “e” fairing with holes in the front to get some air into it - but that requires a change of fairing mount. The other thing to look at is the sprocket carrier pins tearing out of the rear wheel, because they’ve come loose. Fuel lines will want replacing and very carefully routing, as the tank drops in on top and crushes them, adding fuel starvation to woeful carburation!
Lovely bike to ride, once sorted - hope somebody on here gets it, so that we can see it resurrected. _________________ What, Jonny's gone! |

Maybe the "private roads" si the one the photo was taken on. Looks like the driveway to a very nice house/estate! _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |

Decent result.
If it had been in the USA I would have been bidding. |

Not so long ago, I couldn’t shift one of these, in really good running order, for half that money. Think I’ll hang on to it now! _________________ What, Jonny's gone! |
