I am hoping someone can give me the number printed on the spring of their Ohlins shock.
I powder coated mine without writing it down first. I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Reed H

Oh...I so want to strip that and clean it up....to be fair it looks in pretty good condition....I've seen far worse and I would just use Seeley spring compressors to compress the spring down....spin up the lock rings...and remove the base slotted cup and then clean up...and...its pretty much the only way to check if the unit is still serviceable in that it returns when you compress it....Not sure if its my eyes...But the bumpstop appears to be missing....the little foam rubber doughnut that stops the top part of the shock hammering on the bottom....they do tend to disintegrate right before your very eyes after time....You can buy new ones if you measure the diameter...and then slice one side open....lace around the rod and glue....if you dont want to remove the bottom of the unit

Oh hang on...You have a hydraulic pillar press dont you?....Position and hold firmly and push down the spring with the unit upside down....and than pull out the bottom cup that has a slot in in....slowly release and voila...you can clean the whole unit up...and cobble together a new bumpstop at the same time...

That's the good side, and it looks better in the photo than in real life. The spring has some corrosion in a few places, where the nice yellow paint 'used' to be Crying or Very sad
