So this is REALLY interesting.
Seems like a reasonable price given the needs, miles and condition.
Nice that is has the Corse pipes. I understand those are big bucks.

Opinions?

Looks like a decent deal to me, especially if you're capable of going through the carbs yourself. I would expect it to need a battery and tires if you want to ride it. The tires on collection bikes age out. Given how long you've been looking and how decent a deal this is, if you don't buy this, I'd think it is likely you'll never buy a Bimota.

If I hadn't bought a '97 a couple of weeks ago, I'd be trying to negotiate the price down a bit to buy it.

Have been looking for the right deal on the right bike for a while.
But in the meantime been messing with a garage full of other bikes/cars, so not like I have been idle.

Talking, and learning about the market, the bikes and the owners has been both fun and helpful.

I would do all my own work.

Thing that jumped out at me was this was the first seller that was honest about it being a bad thing the bike has sat on display for so long. I found that many sellers talked up the fact they have neither used or serviced their motorcycles. Like it was a good thing they sat dry in a living room.

Seems that the bike was most recently owned/stored at Austin Vintage Cycles.

Once its running tops you will love it. Congrats and Enjoy!

I use Keyboard Motorcycle Shipping: http://keyboardmotorcycleshipping.com

They are the best, speaking from experience but may not be the cheapest. To me its more important receiving the bike in the condition it left seller's hands.
