I dont get that Centrepoint place.....Its almost as if they deliberately strip certain parts off bikes....sell the bikes cheaply and then when you try to complete the bikes with the parts they've forgotten to fit...they want an arm and a leg for them....lure you in cheaply then rape and pillage you for the finishing touches.....They've had parts there for years that they just wont shift on the prices.... |

Also found on the Vdue…. although they used a slightly different shaped cutter to do the b logo, also the overall depth of the cover is slightly different.... look almost identical though _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Every day is a school day at Bimota!! I think the earlier version gives a more distinct 'b' shape but they are both very attractive. _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |

tank secured from well known aussie breakers. Its probably the one that WASN'T on my bike when I 'rescued' it from the same company a good while ago. As 2 Bims pointed out they have even taken off the fuel tap and low level sender and sold them seperately. Can live without the sender unit and I can buy replacement fuel tap that fits so not a big deal...
Now the nervous wait for the parcel to arrive. Hope its not too Covid affected re delivery time.
Mission accomplished... now just have to build the bloody bike!! _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |

Well - I've been thinking about that fuel sender unit recently, as it's missing on my bike also.
My one has been blanked off, I'm thinking that the blanking plate could be copied and modified to accept a thermistor level sensor, and seal up the wiring with epoxy should do the job.

I'll not be able to have a look at this over the next month or two, perhaps something for the winter.

That’s about as much electrical stuff as my old brain can cope with but looks ‘simple’ enough. I do know however the difference between ‘technology’and An ‘engineered’ component. ..I’ll await your little project with interest! _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |
