Looks like a great project, hopefully fairly straightforward. Pray spares availability is more abundant and less expensive than Bimota parts
Please keep us up to date with progress when it arrives. _________________ Bimota DB1, Bimota YB5, Bimota YB6 Exup, Bimota YB9 SR, Ducati NCR Replica, Moto Guzzi 750 S3, Honda CR750 race replica, Seeley-Suzuki TR500 |

What are your plans for this one Steve? Total strip down and make it shiny-shiny, or clean up as best as possible keeping the patina? |

Hi Mate, she looks very original, so i'm hoping the only parts i might need are mechanical/ignition/exhaust... fingers crossed...
How is your project going? _________________ Cheers

Hi Lech,
the plans are for basic safety overhaul, so brakes, hoses bearings etc.
I really want to just give it a thorough clean, it is so original, i think it would be a pity to restore her, time will tell, first i need to see it in the flesh.
How are your new toys going, have they arrived yet? _________________ Cheers

Bodywork is still with the painter, going to call him for progress update on Monday, but not expecting it back until the end of this month. Been concentrating on fettling my YB9 at moment (with a great deal of help from 2bims) and then I have some work to do on the Honda CR750 replica which I want to exhibit at a show in March. _________________ Bimota DB1, Bimota YB5, Bimota YB6 Exup, Bimota YB9 SR, Ducati NCR Replica, Moto Guzzi 750 S3, Honda CR750 race replica, Seeley-Suzuki TR500 |

Sorry for the lack of a reply...
The shed hasn't progressed as quickly as i would have liked...
We had a 5 ton excavator roll up to level up the shed site, and while he was here, we got him to do a bit more work around the place... Now i need to figure out how to landscape about 50 meters of earth banks...
Here is a pic of the shed site, i've finished the retaining wall... well it isn't really a retaining wall, as the cut has been there for about 50 years without any retaining wall, but i wanted something to keep the side of the garage neat, and it will never be easier than now..
The big problem is i still have a bout a 100mm fall on the ground as part of the shed was sitting where the excavator needed to work... i've been doing some hand work with a mattock, but it is hard clay and i'm too old for that shit... so i'm thinking of getting my mate back in his bobcat, he can level the site (3rd time lucky) hopefully load about 6 cubic meters of vegetation into a skip bin and then spread some crushed rock, if i can orchestrate a well timed schedule.
The shed is small, it is about 6.6m long x 3.6m wide..

Definitely get the bobcat in mate, it’ll be done in no time and you won’t stuff your back. You’ll need to be organised in your new shed, or at least more organised than me . My shed is 6m x 9m and I struggle to walk around in it. It on my to do list today to give it a clean up so I can work in it again.
Very nice job on the retaining wall mate _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

As per usual I am lagging behind !!
Planning to get the excavator in this year as have a real space issue these days which is hampering the Bimota acquisition program !!
But then again I was planning to do it last year also !!! |

Sounds like my problem, i was thinking about starting my shed about 5 years ago, it is only now that i've got the contacts to ship bikes out of Japan that the pressure is on, otherwise, i'd be posting about the lack of updates again in 5 years..
However my Bimota Acquisition Program, seems to have taken a detour with the Laverda.... I need to get back on track and keep the focus on Bimota or i'll be tempted by all the other cool bikes in Japan... Then i'd need a shed the size of Brian's _________________ Cheers
