Getting to know the new YB10, so quick oil change thinks I...
Apologies if it's a daft question, but although the filter is a cartridge unit in a nice screw on housing, every listing I can find for a part is like this:
http://www.hiflofiltro.com/catalogue/model/3520
To further add to the confusion when I removed the drain plug a spring and 2 end caps leapt out - what's that all about?
Cheers

Generally with Bimota's you find that suppliers find one match and then label all models the same.
For engine parts I would stick to the donor bike search . |

The Dieci normally uses the early FZR1000 ExUP engine which has the filter you describe. Think shortly after that Yamaha switched to the spin on canister filters which probably confuses things
Make sure what you are undo8ng is actually the drain bolt!

Are you sure it's the drain plug? I don't know anything about YB's but that sounds like it may be the relief valve? _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Filter sorted thanks - on the way.
I did wonder about relief valve/schoolboy error 😱 but I couldnt find another plug...
I’ll just have to get things back in in the correct order... |

Hiya
I did the same when I first changed the oil!
From memory the actual drain bolt is further forward.
All the best
