Hello everyone.
Start to look at the used market regarding Bimota DB6 model.
3 in Spain and a lot in Italie, 1 in CZ. None in France? None in UK?
So, Iīm a Ducatisti who own a 1994 Superlight III #643 (wish is for sell). Have owned a Ducati 998s Final Edition with 70.000kms (had it less than a year do to back issues - after a 7.000kms summer holiday 9 days ride to Dolomites from Lisbon), a Aprilia RSV Factory (had it 8 months, 2.000kms. Couldnīt adapt to it - riding position), a Ducati Monster 696 bought new in 2008 and keep it until 2015 after 34.000kms of pure joy.
Realy love the V2 engines.
After a search, I realise that DB6 were available with:
992cc dry clutch
1078cc wet clutch
1078cc dry clutch
1078cc EVO dry clutch
Also to keep in mind that the 992īs had some issues with fuelling/ECU system. Clocks gone wild and other little things that drive us crazy.
So, Iīm trying to get a 1078cc (wet or dry clutch) with Walbro system.
If any of you have one and donīt know what to do with it...
Portugal based so I need the Certificate of Conformity (COC) to get the portuguese plate.
Thanks in advance
Regards from Portugal

welcome to the Forum....I see you found the place after being on IMR on Facebook.........
As you say////lots in Italy for sale....I've bought from Italy, Holland and Germany....and in each case the bike has NOT come with a Euro CoC.....this is produced whenever a bike is first registered in a Euro state...and is kept by the registration authorities of the state when registered....even when it is de-registered for export to a neighbouring EU country....the Euro CoC is NOT returned......In the UK this means putting it through a special test....which a DB6 will pass....the headlight is a flatbeam Euro light suitable for Left hand and right hand drive countries....and the clocks can be switched via the buttons to read in Kms or miles....So I would look at what you need to be able to register first if this is a problem....Bimota factory used to be able to supply duplicate Euro CoC's for a small fee....but the factory has been silent on any and all business for over 9 months now...so I wouldn't hold out hope on them being able to help... |
