Those double barrel shotgun end cans do look good on a db4....wise move....almost 7 months since anyone posted in this section....but...unlike fb...it can be revisited and viewed always...

I gave the mufflers a bit of a rub down with some soapy steel wool pads to see how they'd come up. They had a few scratches on them that were a bit unsightly.... they came up pretty good, the scratches can still be seen but they're not as noticeable now

Are you talking about "brillo pads"?...that have pink powdery soap built in?....look nice....did it take off the anodising finish....and did you just rub down in direction around the cans...?...Been meaning to do my Db4 end cans but never touched the anodised surface on the frames or end cans...for fear of "the Unknown"....

Yep that’s them... I didn’t know what to use and they were at hand so thought I’d try them. The aluminium finish on the mufflers was pretty dull anyway, so I figured I didn’t have much to lose. Yes, I only rubbed around the cans and was careful not to rub along the cans. I didn’t want to polish them as wanted to keep that brushed look.

Those DB4 pic's do look very good Brian.

Bike looks great , you obviously been busy with the polish Very Happy , almost like they have some sort of picture efect on them to make them SHINE .
Very professional.

Thanks Stu, no polish, but um yeah, I may have fiddled with the photos a touch, just with the editing settings on my iPhone, don’t really know what I’m doing, but it did seem to make the photos look a bit more vibrant

Sign up to an image hosting site like https://postimages.org/ and upload there. Then copy the *hotlink for forums* that will be under your pics and copy and paste here. Simples... and nice big pics when posted

I use a photo host website called Flickr. Upload your photos to the photo host website.

Copy the the link for the photo that you want to share. Using Flickr it will look like this.....

Then open the thread in Bimota forum that you want to share the photo in and paste the link into the text box. Make sure that the link has the [img] at each end of the link. It should look like this....

Click the submit button to post your thread or reply and the photo should appear in the thread like this.....

Yes, it’s a lot of mucking around, but as 2bims says.... practice makes perfect.... so get posting LOTS of photos... Laughing

Cool

Ha Brian, just an excuse to show off your very clean DB2 exhaust!! Does look good doesn’t it. Hope Covid allows you to get some miles in on it in ‘your’ summer.

Thanks Ralph..... never miss an opportunity to show off some DB2 loveliness Smile

We’re actually getting some long awaited and much needed rain today. Here’s hoping it’s a wet Christmas here. Plenty of time for riding after the rain Wink
