I'm restoring my stock muffler outer tube/skin. I drilled out the rivets. What's the trick in removing the end cap? Let it soak with some WD40 overnight?Or is heat the answer? It's on there tight . Thank you guys.

For me if something is tight I would look for my rubber mallet/hammer to give it a few taps to see if that would free it up. If its on there tight I would say your idea of soaking it overnight would be a good start. |

Thanks djk. I heated it up with a hand held propane torch and used a soft mallet and tapped it off. _________________ 2016 Viper ACR Extreme

The inner muffler is a b_tch to take out. It doesn't budge one bit. Even used a wrench to grasp it. Does anyone know if the inside muffler is glued in or some sort?
