|
|
I have read the manual which states to line up marks with a line in the middle. I notice three marks on the rotating cable pulley. Can someone tell me the best way to adjust the oil pump to the lowest setting on a fuel injected bike.
I have read about cutting threads but what exactly does this mean and how much to remove until what lines up where? Many thanks. Tim |

You will probably find when you adjust the cable down to align the marks on the pump that the adjuster bolt will hit the cam lobe on the pump. Therefore you have to cut about 5mm off the end of the cable adjuster.
I also had to remove the one lock nut from the cable side of the adjuster bracket to get more adjustment on the cable.
This was on a carb bike though. |

I read this old argument, I wanted to know if the bike is better or if it gave problems after some use, my bike spits a lot of oil from the jolly bikes, I'm sure the pump sends too much oil |

The old setting from Factory or from Piero was for the 1000kms "running in "period.....adjustment...after cutting and snapping off the excess threaded opiece...without cutting the cable within it...coz theres a nipple on the end stopping you removing it...carefully cut around and thru the threaded holoow adjuster...and then pinch it with pliers or molegrips….which will snap it in 2 lengthways to remove the pieces...throttle should be WIDE ipen to align the marks...much cleaner running..less eating of plugs or splurge from the end cans |
