Weird
You see the frame number is 748 as well. Maybe it was a very early one ? _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

according to the Swiss Bimota club register, its a very late one - earliest recorded SB7 / SB6.75 frame # is 00182 - last is #00773. _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

I was doing the same when I saw one with Ohlins Forks fitted and a heavy modern braced swingarm for sale...especially as it was less than 4K GBP..............
Getting tetchy now...have now found 2 different Bimotas for Sale...going cheap...and too cheap....both advertised in Italy...with piccies plaguerised from other websites of genuine owners...even from Different countries....I'd say it was an italian doing it...as one of the bikes is actually at a dealers in Italy...and advertised elsewhere at over twice the price....and the photos are quick snap shots with background excluded and taken as if by the advertiser when walking around the bike...no full shots...just quickly taken snippets....Beware...
Show me what youre "interested" in...promie I wont snaffle it away...me garage is full anyhow |

All look tasty....and not an issue with them being in Kms and not miles...as all are over 10 years old so no VOSA MSVA test is needed....just a NOVA notification and a UK MOT and then straight in the post to DVLA......Dont you like the look of the raspberry ripple one with Ohlins up front?
SB6 in Netherlands should be easy enough to get to...and good chance they speak Englisz..... |

| Just had a look at my plate(457) and it also has the SB6.75, it also has a weight rating of 310kg and not 350kg. I must not put on weight!! |

thats a big difference in weight between an 1100 motor and a 750..... _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

Here's a theory then. The SB7 frame is an SB6 rolling frame, so it could be that they took a 6 frame which was already stamped, made a 7 and then added the numbers to the plate. So the weight is for a 6 not a 7
The weight is max curb weight not weight of the bike _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

agree with the theory on frame numbers - obviously, because of the random numbering of SB7's, they were just plucked from the SB6 "production line" when needed.
Is the max kerb weight the fully-loaded weight? So you can take a bigger passenger / more luggage due to the extra 350cc of the SB6 (despite neither having pillion carrying facilities)? _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

| I would agree on the frame numbers as well and would think that the 310kg rating would be the fully wet bike plus geared rider. My bike was first registered in Japan in 2005, cant see that making a difference though as I don't think they would have made the self supporting tail section weaker as it was going to the Japanese market as they would have had smaller/lighter riders. Me geared up with a one piece etc plus bike weight would be very close to 310kg. |
