genuine UK bike - used as press demo bike back in 1996.
20000 miles - overall good condition - a few small chips and luggage marks on the paintwork. Taxed and tested. Recent new front disc rotors, clutch and front brake master cylinders (all genuine Brembo equipment).
95% standard - wrong mirrors fitted (don't have originals) and carbon sleeves on the exhausts (original brushed aluminium covers supplied with bike). Just had a replacement engine fitted (original "lost" 6th gear) with new cam belts, oil and filter. Good tyres, recent chain and sprockets and front and rear disc pads. Powder-coated Marchesini wheels fitted.
This bike is an original (Mk1?) version with the seperate handlebars and should have the big plastic mudguard assembly fitted to the swingarm. This has been replaced with a carbon hugger and a tail tidy as the original fitment fractured and tried to part company with the bike. This part will also be supplied - it can be repaired and re-attached if so desired.
Price ? open to sensible offers.
Bike located in west Yorkshire.
Contact me on 07915306833.
Garry.

Did you replaced the engine as a unit ? Won't that mean the numbers will different to the original V5

Depends whether the engine number is listed on the V5.......of the bikes I've registered new into the country recently...the DVLA often dont bother typing in the engine number nowadays and leave it blank.......even if listed it can be changed...........

But more importantly........A sad time.......... Crying or Very sad GeeKays choice f steed and longtime companion being up for sale.......will be a missed item usually on show once a year at the MCr show........Sad time indeed........ Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

My un-written bike rule Vince -

If I don't use it - lose it !

Its become an ornament in my garage - my European jaunts are finished for now. I need to move on to other bikes I will use.

Does it really matter ?
Nobody knows what engines were fitted to what chassis - they don't even know how many chassis were built / registered.
I'll just send the V5 to Swansea with a change of engine request, it will come back with the new engine number on and no one will be any wiser.
However, that doesn't prevent me from being honest about it.........
