anyone heard or been approached by a guy going by the name of Ian Tilman of Boston, Lincs ?? tilmanian@gmail.com

dropped me an email out of the blue and apparently has the answer to my wanted advert for bodywork on the 'best' deal ever, smelt very fishy so a quick search of his email address in Google brings up the likely probability of a scam and seems to have offered various other marques on similiar "deals"

if your genuine very sorry Ian but you need to change your approach either way

I've had scammers reply to my wanted ads for TZ intake manifolds.

They insert your part description into their form letter:

"Still interested in purchasing a Intake manifold for 1990 3TC TZ250 ? Email and I'll get back to you.

Cheers,

Frank H. H
1219 N 76th St,
Kansas City, KS 66102"

The first thing that struck me was who puts their street address in an email reply? The next email I received was exactly the same but a different address! Scammers.

Ask them for a photo of the item and see what they do. I bet they have an excuse as to why they can't show it to you at the moment. Run away from these guys and deal with a company you know exists.
