Well its less than 7 weeks until Show time Guys...and seeing as all my bikes are nicely wrapped up for the Winter with nothing to do...I thought I'd turn my attention to the Bimota Packing crate stands that they'll be sat up on at the show...Yes I must be bored....
Only Five more to go...shouldnt take long.... |

Well Guys.........Its a mere 3 weeks and 2 days until set up day for the Manchester Bike Show........The website is showing Main dealer exhibitors on the layout map as below....yet clubs and gear sellers have not yet been officially allocated spaces...coming soon...but that was the same as last year....
http://www.classicshows.org/manchester2013/Manchester%202014%2018_11_13.pdf
So just looking for Final confirmation as to who's coming...with bikes or without bikes...and if "with" then which ones so we can start a "layout" always dependant upon space they give us (should be same as last year)
So hopefully all those that have said "aye" are still up for it......
Lammie....bikes, van services, helpers and laminated leaflets to sit on the bike seats....
Nige....usual varied collection I presume? Will the KB be ready in time?
Geekay....I see C3PO is back in bits but time yet to reassemble??
Gazebo, chairs, banners, Bimota rugs...meself, Vort and Lammie...Dont forget your mugs guys for coffee refills....
Vort...perhaps something new? or a couple of new things?
Been busy prepping me bikes and seeing if they run (although not essential..) managed 5 out of 6 so not bad going...just have to resist temptation to ride out on them again and get them dirty before the show....
Db2 ready...new clutch and carbon bits since last year..
DB6 ready..a little hesitant to start but hasnt been on a battery tender for several months....same as last year bike but with arrow titanium cams and straight through cam coated pipes...
DB1 and DB2 all cleaned and covered up, ready to wheel out..
Db4, with new carbon belly pan, Vdue...new since last year..and Db5R...with some new ally and cam coated pipes...Orange KTM and Flymo not required for the show....
And depending upon space the Ducati "pup" may try and sneak in under cover of Darkness to try and sell on to some punter bedazzled by the big bright lights of the show and shiney things drawing the magpies in....All MOT;d for the first time today and her first real run out (went the long way back home from garage...

Your bikes are looking great Steve. Sounds like you guys are going to have a great roll up again, even better than last year. So wish I wasn't busy that weekend and could pop in for the show
I like the number plate on the db6 mate _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

We'd love to see ya Brian...granted a tad faraway for you though...is your Aussie mate going to the TT again this year to meet up?
Have a similar plate on the DB5...DB05 BAD and BIMTA on the DB2...and also S500 DUE...for none other than the Vdue of course...fortunately the authority didnt recognise they would be perfect for Bimotas...but mainly coz theres so few over here..particularly of the newer models...helps me to remember what the reg Nos are also.... |

Got some cool personalized number plates there mate. Very expensive over here for personalized plates. Some states are cheap but in Queensland it costs $2395.00 for a normal prestige plate (5 or 6 characters), $3295.00 for a 7 character plate, $3500.00 for a 3 character plate or $5000.00 for a 2 character plate! Robbing assholes. Needless to say I've standard plates
Not sure if Tony is going to the TT this year, but if he is no doubt you'll run in to him
Enough chit chat... get back to organizing the bike show! _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Jeeso Brian...those are dear prices....each of mne was less than 400 AUD in conversion...hence why I got them...only other vehicle that Db5 or Db6 would work on are Aton MArtins...but they have the rule here that as these are 2005 and 2006 year plates....you cant try to pass off an older vehicle as a younger one...so they couldnt be put onto an Aston MArtin...but perfect for DB series Bimotas...being probably less than 10 of the 5/6 series over here the licensing arm of the Govt hasnt picked up on this...lucky for me |

Well just 2 more weeks until set-up day for the Manchester Bike show at Event City, near the Trafford Centre....weekend 22nd and 23rd March.
The official layout plan for the arena is now on the website:-
http://www.classicshows.org/manchester2013/images/downloads/ManchesterBikeShowfloorplan.pdf
And we are stand Nos 200 and 209...a 12x6m stand...large enough for some 16 Bimotas.....We also are backing onto 3rd place winners, UK 2-strokes...with the forst place winners, the Goldwing Club to the left of us...although they have a hefty 15m x 12m stand by comparison...
More than happy to see all and anyone down there....few possible changes to the line up this year....thinking of putting 4 No. Smokin 2 stroke Vdues on there...just for the crack........ |
