Well, it's time to let my DB4 go to a new home. I've finally come to grips with what age and back surgeries mean when it comes to sport bikes with clip-ons - no more! Crying or Very sad So now I need to find some new toys that sit a bit more upright. Here you go:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-BIMOTA-DB4-W-FACTORY-RACE-KIT-XLNT-CONDITION-RUNS-GREAT-/121166009078?_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&forcev4exp=true#ht_1404wt_1043

Feel free to give me a call at 602-373-one five one four if you have an interest.

Thanks.
Chuck S.

It's a shame that you have to part with it Chuck. It looks superb in the photo's mate. I find it odd how Bimota numbered their bikes, yours is number 12 and 2000 model and mine is number 106 and 1999 model.

I added a carbon clock surround to mine to replace the flimsy stick on one. Reasonable price and finished the dash off beautifully.

Good luck with the sale Chuck.

Cheers,
Brian

Your bike is too nice not to show it off here. Hope you don't mind.

Does indeed luck nice Chuck...best of luck with the sale...you should mention in the advert though that with those flat slides, cone filters and Full open Corse Can that it truly has the sound of Thunder...and thats not even compared to the original set-up....

Nice Carbon 3D surround to your clocks Brian.....glad you found one and put one on...even though its a faff to have to remove each clock, fit the surround and then refit the clocks, may not save weight over the original piece of Foam, thats still there...but certainly tidies and prettys up the display...I knew you couldnt resist going for one, espec over the flat carbon one that looks So aftermarket.... Very Happy Shocked

Thanks for all the kind words guys! Between back issues and needing to reduce the collection a bit, I've been slowly winding down the stable. The DB4 is such an ideal ride. It runs and handles great, is light weight, and easy and relatively inexpensive to work on. I actually gave some thought to putting a Mantra top clamp on the forks and figuring out some regular handlebars, but then the fairing and the headlight and ..... I'd just destroy a beautiful bike. I just hope it goes to a good home.

Thanks.

I'd keep it if it were me Chuck. Like you say... it's just a nice bike. I get a real thrill every time i ride mine. I've got a couple bikes that i don't ride very often and common sense tells me i should sell some, but i can't bare to part with any of them.

I got the carbon surround from King Carbon in UK Steve. Very nice quality piece. Not too big of adeal to install. I fitted it when i fitted my new carbon bellypan a while back. Definately a much better look than the original.

T'is a nice bike , and the Bimota sport kit is very rare in deed and about a $4k option when available I think . My 4 has one and the difference between 2Bims standard 4 and a my kit 4 is just mind blowing , you just wouldn't believe they are the same bike, and the noise , don't know whats better the induction or the exhaust !! Very Happy .
The DB4 is a forgotten about bimota , hope you get a price that is worthy of such good bike.
Tricolor's rule !!
