Hi Folks,

I have just listed my Bim for sale, easier to list photo's any how I am selling a couple of bikes as I aim to have a go with a Desmosedici. I have not had much time with the bim unlike my DB2 I had for many years and sold with over 30k km on. But for now I am looking in another direction. I have set a very relistic reserve and do not wish to disclose it on the net so if anyone interested have a go.

Best of luck RWG...I gather you may want to run the Desmo on the road? Be sure to check its had its various recalls done on it...none of them official but one of them could be terminal if not done...know I guy that had this issue...wrote the engine off and bike was out of Warranty....Dealer asked nicely of Ducati Italy though and they sent an entire spare engine with all the Ancillaries attached to change it for....Dealer got stuck with the change out costs though, but still nice to know the dealer and manufacturer sorted the £40K bike out...

Thanks to you both, I have been chating with a couple of desmo owners with some very good insight, does sound like they have to be ridden to believed, but that then becomes the thorn in the foot. The dealers are a little concerend about mileage, one dealer said buy one but don't use it! for me that defeats the objective to enjoy the bike.

I have allways prefared the V twin configuration, hense SB6r being for sale, and I do tend to put a few miles on the bikes, and I tend to sell bikes I have not used, so a little concerned about buying a desmo V4, liking it and then worried about putting miles on it. But I can worry about that when I have the option to buy one.
