I recently bought a low mileage DB3 Mantra (>1000k) but have found that the top yoke is cracked, probably through over tightening and there is no chance of it passing an MOT.

Emails to the Bimota factory remain unanswered and Ducati Preston have not come up with anything, does anyone know where I can get my hands on a replacement? |

				hi

DRT have one

http://bimota-teile.de/Bimota/index.html

click 'Ersatzteile' on the left navi

then choose your model

part number 37

503 361 011 Gabelbrücke oben 43mm siehe YB9SR/SRI 259,00 €

same as YB9 and BB1 apparantley

they speak English, so I could write and ask for a pic first.

And sometimes they are not so quick.

good luck

Easy to crack this yoke, I think.

When I was a 'Proud Mantra Owner' my bike came with a previously-cracked spare top yoke....

I had it welded by a pro race-bike fabricator. I let it go when I sold the bike, but if you get *really* stuck for one, I might be able to track it down for you.

I went thru my DB4 shop manual, but there's nothing about specific Chassis Torque settings. It has only some general settings (10mm head = 6Nm, 12mm head = 15Nm etc).

Thats probably not accurate enough for an Unobtanium part.... _________________ 2000 DB4 tricolor (or is that tricolour ??)

ex-Mantra owner, and proud of it !!

2008 Moto Guzzi Griso 1100. Weighs as much as 3 Bimotas, but is somehow still fun... |
