I had 2 K1's (not at the same time, obviously..!) - the first was completely standard, the second had kit downpipes, Muller exhaust, bigger kit float chambers and spent ages on the dyno being set up properly
It was awesome on trackdays...one particularly memorable occasion at Mallory Park I kept braking later and later into the hairpin, 'til the point the back locked up and the bike was sideways...gathered it up all okay and figured that was about as late as was possible, lol!
Next time around there was a lovely black stripe across the tarmac
I recall it would hit an indicated 90mph in 1st gear...
No, really constable, I couldn't possibly have been breaking the speed limit 'cos I was only in first..." |
