Hi guys, looking for a pair of mirrors and carbon air scoops for Yb9Sri. Guess this should be in parts wanted but how do you post there? _________________ The Red Barron, Bimota YB9Sri, yamaha RD500lc, yamaha RD500 lc YZR replica, Ducati 750ss |

drop Jack a line:
'Jack Blacoe: for replacement fairings & carbon frame protectors. Now taking orders soon for the following, sb6, sb6r, sb8r & kb1fairings. Also sb6, sb6r & sb8r petrol tanks in carbon. Also YB9 Carbon air tubes. Coming soon heel protectors. Jack.blacoe@btinternet.com'
it's an old lead from the Bim enthusiasts club, don't know if Jack is still making bits
good luck

Thanks for the reply, was looking at Ducati mirrors but the Sachs look identical. The air scoops are the ones on the outside of the fairing which are moulded carbon fibre and not the straight tubes, but many thanks anyway. I tried Jack a couple of years ago hence me having carbon parts made elsewhere
Do you have the old ones to use as patterns? _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

found an intake scoop:
http://www.google.de/imgres?start=154&um=1&hl=de&biw=1366&bih=598&tbm=isch&tbnid=6IN2Yh-YALSAzM:&imgrefurl=http://www.bimotagalleria.nl/index.php/motorparts/bimota-yb/yb6.html&docid=m76p8Cn6rhi0rM&imgurl=http://www.bimotagalleria.nl/media/catalog/product/cache/1/small_image/205x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/0/3/038_voor_wielas_bimota_yb4-6-8_75_.jpg&w=205&h=205&ei=05qHUNriCo_OswbDk4DgBA&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1059&vpy=58&dur=5541&hovh=164&hovw=164&tx=127&ty=124&sig=109668631154148423609&page=7&tbnh=142&tbnw=142&ndsp=31&ved=1t:429,r:75,s:100,i:229
then click on 'motorparts' it's the 6th part down
might have to call, because they don't list any prices.
good luck

Hi Mike, thanks for the message. I have tried a couple of places but have had no luck whatsoever, the one website called Bimota Galleria in Holland showed the very one that i require in the pictures i.e. l/h but i have been unable to contact them by any means. If you have a pair i would be quite happy to purchase them from you, they are the moulded parts that sit outside of the fairing and the mirror passes through them. Strange tale regarding this particular Bimota, I bought it new in 2000 but it was missing various parts the l/h air scoop and mirror, rear light assembly, gear change linkage rod plus a few other bits and bobs oh and it was a non runner, that turned out to be the data tool immobiliser. All was reflected in the price though. Regards Dave _________________ The Red Barron, Bimota YB9Sri, yamaha RD500lc, yamaha RD500 lc YZR replica, Ducati 750ss |
