|
While on holiday in Kenya and walking through the bush a man came across an elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so the man approached very carefully.
He got down on one knee and inspected the bottom of the elephant's foot,
only to find a large thorn deeply embedded in it. As carefully and gently as he could he removed the thorn and the elephant gingerly put its foot
down.
The elephant turned to face him and with a rather stern look on its
face, stared at him. For a good ten minutes the man stood frozen - thinking of nothing else but being trampled.
Eventually the elephant turned and walked away. For years after the man often pondered the events of that day...
One day whilst walking through the zoo with his son they find
themselves at the elephant enclosure. One of the elephants turns and
walks over to where they are standing at the rail. The elephant stares at the man and he can't help wondering if by some strange stroke of fortune this is the same elephant.
The man clambered tentatively over the railing and made his way over to
the elephant. He walked right up to it and it seemed to stare back at him in wonder.
Suddenly the elephant wrapped its trunk around one of the man's legs and swung him wildly back and forth along the railing............killing him
instantly.
Probably wasn't the same elephant. |
