So who here knew there was a GB1 the extremely rare Gilera Bimota? I stumbled across it whilst on you tube and seem there were 2 made with a 750 engine, it was made for the Italian Supermono Championship.

It was a Paris dakar race engine, have a few write ups on them somewhere , but usual Bimota stuff, given the engine with 3 weeks to the first race and told to make it so. Think they did all right and were the inspiration for the BB1, shame about the change in motor though.

There is a private museum in rimini with a few prototype bims including the honda engined tesi , a vfr engine from memory .

There were only two made and only one is left. Owned by Giliera. Is it possible to get some more info on the private museum in rimini?

its out in the back-of-beyond near Rimini airport. Called in 2010 - took bloody ages to locate (no sat nav) then when I found it, it was closed! Crying or Very sad
